The University of Iowa Family Spirit Award
This award recognizes a Hawkeye family—spanning at least three generations of University of Iowa graduates—that has substantially benefited from and continues to advocate for the university, as well as contributes toward bettering the state of Iowa and its communities.
The nomination process opens on Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, and closes Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
The winning family will receive the ultimate University of Iowa campus experience during Family Weekend (Oct. 24–25, 2025), including 20 tickets to the Iowa football game against Minnesota and recognition during the game.

NOMINATION CRITERIA/MATERIALS
Nominees should demonstrate:
- A connection (student, alumni, ticket holders, or supporters) to the University of Iowa for three or more generations as a family unit. A minimum of three generations of University of Iowa graduates is required.
- Service or support of the University of Iowa throughout the years (leadership roles, volunteer roles, event participation, I-Club or Iowa Club members, etc.).
- Personal or professional contributions toward bettering the state of Iowa and/or the Iowa City area.
